Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely holiday, and are enjoying your winter break! It is time to finish off 2019 with another blog post. Enjoy! On December 7th, the team competed at the Clackamas Holiday Edge Tournament at Clackamas High School. It was the last tournament before all competitors compete at the same level in the open field, and the biggest tournament behind state. It has been a long time since we have seen this many people from our team place at this tournament! Here are the results: Marissa Bennett - Open ADS Finalist Dimitrov and Dimitrova - Open Duo Finalist Khup Hau Tuang - 1st Place Novice Informative Zane AlSaood - 1st Place LIELL Jonathan Guzman - 3rd Place LIELL Alexander Dimitrov- 2nd Place Open Informative Elizabeth Dimitrova - 3rd Place Storytelling Matthew Maillet - Storytelling Finalist Good job to everyone who competed!

On December 13th, the team celebrated the holidays together at our annual holiday party! This year, the Millers were kind enough to host the party, and we thank you in abundance for your kindness! Check out the video that our member La Tuang made HERE!

The McMinnville tournament is coming up soon! It will be held on Saturday, January 25th at McMinnville High School from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. Make sure you're at the front of the school by 6:50 am to get onto the bus on time. The link to the invitation can be found HERE! We need JUDGES!!! We need at least 3 more judges to sign up before December 31st or else we will need to cut some competitors out of this competition. As long as ANYONE can speak English, are open-minded to listen to different speeches/debates from various perspectives/backgrounds, and are over 18, consider being a judge! The judges room will be stacked with all kinds of delicious foods as well. If you are interested, please contact our captain Shelbey Colt at Shelbeycolt@gmail.com. The Forensic Files is something new that I've started this year. If you'd like to be subscribed to a monthly email newsletter to be informed on all of the specifics of what's happening. The Forensic Files is made specifically for the parents, but if any member on the team wants to be on the list as well, please contact me at rachelhanhle@gmail.com. Remember that WE HAVE A CALENDAR! It is under the Blog drop down menu on the top of our website. It includes the dates of all of our tournaments, parties, and meetings! And that's all for this month. See you next year!
